For stays less than 30 days the Evisa:

The validity of the E-visa is 1 month. It can only be requested 25 days and up to 4 days before your arrival in India.

Upon receipt of your E-VISA you have 30 days to enter India.

Everything is done entirely online, you have nothing to send by mail and you do not have to travel.

Your visa will be stamped in your passport upon arrival after validation of the file submitted via Internet at the following address E.Visa

Travelers with a passport from Andorra, England, Armenia, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and for a stay of less than 2 months are eligible for this type of visa.

The Evisa is obtained after validation of the application submitted via Internet 25 days and up to 4 days before your arrival in India (ElectronicTravel Authorisation).

The Visa will be affixed to your passport on arrival (VOA) provided you arrive in India through one of the following 25 airports:
Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Chandigarh, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, Port Blair & Vishakhapatnam each have a special counter (VOA).

The consular fees for the E-Visa valid for 1 month from your arrival in India are to be paid online by credit card.

Tourist E-Visa for 30 days (April to June): 10 USD (∼ 9,00 €)
30-day E-Tourist Visa (July to March period): 25 USD (∼ 23,00 €)

After the payment of the consular fees, you will receive within 24 to 48 hours by email your ETA "Granted" which you will have to present at the boarding and customs in India, your biometric details will be captured at the immigration upon arrival in India.
